Türkiye Burslari 2027 for Pakistanis: Fully Funded Turkey Scholarship Guide

Published October 8, 2026 · by Hijrat — visa consultants, Islamabad & Rawalpindi

Every year thousands of Pakistani students apply for Türkiye Burslari, the Turkish government's fully funded scholarship run by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). With the 2027 cycle expected to open early next year, October is the right time to get documents ready.

What the scholarship covers

In recent cycles the programme has covered tuition, university placement, a monthly stipend, accommodation, health insurance, a round-trip air ticket and a one-year Turkish language course for students who need it. It is open to undergraduate, master's and PhD applicants. Exact stipend amounts and benefits are set by YTB each year and change with the Turkish lira, so check the official announcement rather than relying on old figures.

When to apply

The 2027 call had not been officially announced when this article was written. In recent years applications opened in January and closed around 20 February, with interviews in spring and results in summer. Treat that as a pattern, not a promise, and watch the official Türkiye Scholarships portal and the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad for the real dates.

Who is eligible

Based on published guidance from recent cycles, applicants generally need to be non-Turkish citizens, meet an age limit that rises with the study level (roughly under 21 for undergraduate, 30 for master's and 35 for PhD), and have a minimum academic average, commonly around 70% for undergraduate and 75% for postgraduate study. Medical and some other programmes can have stricter requirements. Confirm every threshold in the current guide before applying.

Documents to prepare now

  1. Valid passport and a recent passport-style photograph.
  2. Degree certificates and transcripts. Pakistani degrees usually need HEC attestation and, for use abroad, MOFA apostille; matric and intermediate certificates go through IBCC.
  3. A motivation letter and, for postgraduate applicants, a research proposal or study plan.
  4. Reference letters where the programme asks for them.
  5. English or Turkish language proof if your chosen programme requires it.

Attestation can take weeks, so starting before the portal opens avoids a last-minute rush. Our attestation service page explains the full chain.

How selection works

Candidates apply online, listing several university and programme preferences. Shortlisted applicants are invited to an interview, and some undergraduate science and engineering routes add a written test. Competition is strong, so a clear study plan and strong grades matter more than the number of programmes you list.

Tips for Pakistani applicants

Apply only through the official portal; the scholarship is free to apply for and no agent can guarantee selection. Keep scanned copies of every document in the sizes the portal asks for, and use a personal email address you check often. If Türkiye is not your only target, compare it with other funded options in our fully funded scholarships guide, including DAAD and Chevening.
