The UK changed its visa fees on 8 April 2026 — any application submitted from that date is charged at the new rates. Here is what Pakistani applicants actually pay and how long it takes.
The standard 6-month visitor visa now costs about £135 — roughly PKR 50,000 at current exchange rates. Add VFS Global service charges (typically PKR 6,000–8,000) and the realistic total is PKR 53,000–55,000 per applicant. Long-term visit visas (2, 5 and 10 years) cost proportionally more.
Standard processing is around 3 weeks after biometrics, though it stretches in peak season. In a hurry? The Priority service (about £500 extra) gives a decision within 5 working days, and Super Priority (about £1,000 extra) by the next working day. These priority fees did not increase in April — only the base fees did.
UKVI looks for strong ties to Pakistan and credible finances: six months of clean bank statements consistent with your income, employment or business evidence, property and family ties, a sensible itinerary and an honest travel history. Weak or inconsistent bank statements remain the single biggest rejection reason we see.
Biometrics are given at VFS centres including Islamabad. Hijrat prepares the entire file — form, documents-required checklist, bank statement review and cover letter — before you ever book the appointment. Government fee and our service fee are always shown separately.
Hijrat handles this end-to-end from Islamabad — serving Rawalpindi and overseas Pakistanis too. Fees always itemised before you pay.
