UK Visit Visa Fee Increase 2026: What Pakistanis Now Pay
The UK is one of the most-applied-for destinations from Pakistan, and the Home Office raised its visa fees again in spring 2026. If you're planning to visit family, attend a wedding, or travel for business, here's exactly what changed and what it costs now.
The new Standard Visitor visa fee
From 8 April 2026, the six-month Standard Visitor visa rose from £127 to £135. Pakistani applicants pay in rupees at the Home Office's own exchange rate (around ₨365 per £1 in mid-2026), which puts the visa fee itself near PKR 49,000. Add the VFS Global service and biometrics charges — typically PKR 6,000–8,000 — and the realistic out-the-door cost lands around PKR 53,000–55,000 for a single six-month visit visa.
Long-term visit visas
If you travel to the UK often, a long-term visit visa can be better value over time. The 2-year, 5-year and 10-year visitor visas cost roughly £506, £903 and £1,128 respectively. They don't let you stay longer per trip (you're still limited to six months per visit), but they save you re-applying every time.

Priority and super-priority
Standard processing can take several weeks. Priority service (about £500 extra) targets a decision in five working days, and super-priority (about £1,000 extra) aims for the next working day — useful for emergencies, but a large added cost.
The cost that hurts most: a refusal
