Azerbaijan Visa for Pakistanis 2026: ASAN e-Visa, Fees & How to Apply
Baku has become one of the most popular short-haul holiday and business destinations for Pakistanis, and the best part is that the visa is almost entirely online. Azerbaijan does not offer visa-free entry or a visa on arrival to Pakistani passport holders, but it does run a fast electronic visa β the ASAN Visa β that most travellers can complete themselves in minutes. Here is exactly how it works in 2026, what it costs, and how to avoid the mistakes that cause delays.
Do Pakistanis need a visa for Azerbaijan?
Yes. Pakistani citizens must hold a valid visa before boarding a flight to Azerbaijan. For tourism, visiting family or short business trips, the simplest route is the official e-Visa issued through the government's ASAN Visa system. It is a single-entry visa that allows a stay of up to 30 days, and it stays valid for 90 days from the date of issue β so you can safely apply a few weeks before you travel.
e-Visa fees and processing time in 2026
The standard ASAN Visa costs about USD 25 for Pakistani applicants β a USD 20 state fee plus a USD 5 service charge β and is normally issued within three working days. If you are travelling at short notice, the urgent option costs around USD 60 and is processed within three hours, even on weekends and public holidays. Payment is made online by Visa or Mastercard, and both the fee and the processing time are per person, so each traveller β including every child β needs a separate application.
Documents you need
The e-Visa is refreshingly light on paperwork. You need a passport valid for at least three months beyond your intended stay (we recommend six months to be safe), a clear colour scan of the passport bio-data page, a recent passport-size photograph on a plain white background, a working email address, and a debit or credit card for payment. No invitation letter or bank statement is required for the online visa itself, although airlines and border officers may still ask to see a confirmed return ticket, hotel booking and proof of funds.
How to apply, step by step
- Go to the official portal, evisa.gov.az, and start a new application.
- Select Pakistan as your country and choose standard or urgent processing.
- Enter your personal and passport details exactly as they appear in your passport.
- Upload the bio-page scan and your photograph.
- Pay the fee by card and submit the form.
- Receive the approved e-Visa by email as a PDF, print it, and carry it with your passport.
Only use the official website
Search results are full of third-party agents advertising the same visa for USD 80β150. The only official portal is evisa.gov.az β applying there directly gives you the government price and the same processing speed. If you would rather have someone prepare the form and check your documents before submission, that is one of the visa services our team handles every day. You can also see what other attestation and documentation support we offer.
When you need a sticker (embassy) visa instead
The e-Visa is single-entry and caps your stay at 30 days. If you need multiple entries, a longer stay, or you are travelling for work, study or family reunification, you will need a sticker visa from the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Islamabad, which involves more documents and a longer wait. For most tourists and short business visits, the e-Visa is all you need. Planning a wider trip this year? Visa fees, processing times and rules change frequently, and the final decision on any visa rests with the Republic of Azerbaijan's migration authorities (the State Migration Service / ASAN Visa). The figures above are for guidance only β always confirm the current fee and requirements on the official portal, evisa.gov.az, before you apply.
